What is a max3?

• A max3 is a new online digital content delivery system that unites buyers, sellers, and promoters of digital content all around the world.
• The max3 system allows content owners to bundle multiple types of digital media, including music, video, photos, literature and more, into a single bundle which can then be distributed through almost any online channel: e-mail, blogs, web sites, and even social networking sites. The max3 system tracks every download of your music as it is distributed from the web site and keeps track of your entire revenue stream.

Why would I, as a music lover or fan want to use max3?

• max3 rewards you for sharing, forwarding and recommending max3s.
• max3s multi-level tracking means very little effort on your part to reap the benefits, friends-of-friends sharing or purchasing max3s through your network means rewards for you. Such as free downloads.

How can I change my account information?

Once you’re registered as a Fan or Artist you can change your account information at any time:

1. First, click on “account dashboard” located at the top of the page.
2. Second, underneath “MANAGE MY ACCOUNT” click on “my account information”. This will    bring up your current max3 account information.
3. Simply make the desired changes and click “update”.

How can I change my password?

Simply follow the same directions given above for changing your account information:

1. On the left of the “my account information” page click on “Change Password”.
2. From here simply follow the instructions to have your current password changed.

How can I access your FAQ/wiki?

At the top of most any page in the max3 site click on “help”. This will take you to our max3 community site. At the top of the max3 community home page click on “wiki”. This will take you to our max3 wiki.

Please refer to the wiki if you have any questions or need help with a particular section of our max3 site. By clicking on the categories to the left of page you can access information for that specific category. The articles will be listed directly underneath the category title.

Who can I contact when I experience a problem?

If your experiencing trouble with any section of our site and are not able to find help within our FAQ’s or wiki simply click on “support” or “contact” which will be located at the top or bottom of most every page in the max3 system. Your issue will be immediately sent to our max3 support team and resolved for you ASAP buy one of our customer support representatives.

What is my Account Dashboard?

Your Account Dashboard is a control panel used to check your statistics, track your max3 link and forward link stats, review your points and rewards status, and see your sales and payment status. This is also where artists and content owners would go to upload, manage and, edit max3s they create to sell.

What is the “max3 Previewer?”

Any time you are browsing the max3 library and you click on a max3 you are taken to the artists “max3 previewer” or (MP). From here you can view all content related to that specific artist.  From the MP you can also forward a max3 to friends using “forward links” as well as generate artist s"max3 links”, letting you promote max3s for even greater rewards (see below).

What kind of incentive do you offer your fans/artists/content owners?

At max3 we offer what is called the MIP (max3 Incentive Program). This is designed to promote artist content by rewarding fans with free content/rewards for sharing artist content through forward links and max3 Links. This program can be used by the following user types:

• Content Owners:  max3 users who own the rights for their content for sale on max3.com.
• Fans: Registered max3 users who share max3s with friends and associates.
• Artists: max3 users who upload and manage content for sale using max3.com

What is a forward link?

A “Forward Link” is an HTML email containing a link to artist content- i.e. a max3.

• You will receive “forward points” each time a different person clicks on a forward fink for the first time sent by you.
• All “forward links” are generated and tracked from within the max3 mail system database

What is the “Forward Link” Program and how does it work?

The Forward Link program is an e-mail forwarding system designed to promote a max3 artist by rewarding fans with points for sharing an artist’s max3 via e-mail, for example:

1. User sends “forward link” email with a link to max3 content (Forward Link is defined in more detail below).
2. Recipient clicks on link within email.
3. Sender receives “forward points”.

Note: Forward Links reward Forward Points up to 3 levels deep!

What are “forwarding points”?

Forwarding points are rewards for sharing max3 content via e-mail; redeemable for “free w/points” designated tracks in max3 library. Note: You must be a registered user to redeem and use forward points;

• 1 point = 1 penny.
• 10 points awarded for first forward link click.
• 100 points awarded for each new account creation through a forward link.
• 100 points awarded for each sale through a forward link.

What are “free with points”?

Every artist creating max3’s can choose what content they would like to make “free with points” i.e. single tracks, photo’s, video’s that provide the “incentives” for fans to forward max3’s! These items can be purchased by using your max3 “forwarding points”.  From the max3 browser click on “Free downloads” to begin downloading your free with point tracks.

Can your “forward links” or “forward points” expire?

• Forward points - expire 180 days from the date the points are accumulated
• Forward links - expires when a Forward Link e-mail goes un-clicked for 90 days from the date sent by the sender.

Why would I, as an artist, label or content owner, want to use max3?

The “max3 link program” is a banner placement system designed to promote artist content by rewarding promoters with tokens for selling artist content through promoter-placed max3 links that work like this:

• A Fan posts a max3 link on a webpage.
• A Fan or Visitor purchases a max3 via a max3 link; a fan that has posted the max3 link is rewarded with tokens.
  

What is a “max3 Link”?

A “max3 link” is an embeddable link to artist max3 content, similar to the embed links used by YouTube and numerous other systems, but with the added features below:

• Fans receive artist-determined number of tokens for each purchase made through his max3 link.
• Fans can redeem tokens for free content and cash

What are Download Tokens?

• 1 Token = $.25.
• Download tokens reward the users for sales occurring through a max3 link.
• Tokens are the same as cash within max3 library.
• A promoter receives 1 token for each sale occurring through a max3.

What is max3 premium content?

 

max® premium content is a collection of digital multimedia items beyond that of album/tracks for sale on max3; photos, unreleased/demo tracks, video, PDF’s, etc…

Who are max3 promoters?

• max3 promoters are individuals who earn benefits and rewards using the max3 link system.
• max3 promoters copy-and-paste max3 link codes onto their websites, MySpace pages, blogs, etc., to lead their visitors to a chosen max3.
• max3 promoters can also be max3 sellers who want to promote their own max3s on websites, blogs, forums, etc.
• Sales activity is tracked to their max3 promoter accounts. max3 promoters earn commissions for any and all sales of max3s generated from the max3 links they’ve posted.

What sort of content will I need to start creating my max3?

You can use a variety of multi-media source files, i.e., audio, album art, video, photos, biography and promotional text files, etc. Certainly, not all of this content is required when creating a max3, however the more content you have the better your product will look and feel to fans and music lovers - the more interest you will create in your brand.

I’m having trouble uploading my content?

The first thing you might try is rebooting your computer. If you leave your computer on and running for long periods of time it can sometimes cause problems with the upload mechanism.  Also, you may be prompted to install Flash Player 10, if this occurs when entering the max3 site go ahead and upgrade to flash player 10 as this may be another reason your having problems. If neither of these methods fix the problem please contact our support team by clicking on the “contact” link located at the bottom of any page in the max3 site.

What is “pay me” and how does it work?

Pay Me allows any registered user to request sales earnings payment from max3.

Who can request payment?

1. Any Content Owner who has earned the $2.50 (transaction fee for payouts under $20) payout threshold.
2. Any Fan who has posted max3 Links who has elected to redeem tokens for cash per rules stated above.

The fees associated with Pay Me are:
1. Over $20 in account = $1 transaction fee.
2. Under $20 in account = $2.50 transaction fee.
3. Minimum balance of $2.51 is required for payout.
